WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AT A WEEKEND EXPERIENCE?
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the general culture like?
Friendly, casual and diverse. Expect to be welcomed into a friendly environment, by people genuinely happy to see you! We are a small church with a big heart.
How long are the services?
A typical weekend experience lasts 90 minutes.
How should I dress?
You are welcome to wear whatever you'd like. There is no set dress code, although, for the most part, the attire leans toward the casual side. Just be you. Come as you are, come as you like. Just come.
Will I be singled out?
No. We do not ask our guests to stand and be recognized, give a testimony, come to the front, or anything like that. We want you to feel at home.
Will I be asked to give money?
No. We believe and teach that generosity is an important part of a healthy relationship with God. But there are no regular 'offerings' taken up during our weekend experiences, nor do we expect our guests to give, although you are welcome to. We believe that giving should be prompted by our love for God and others, and should not be born out of peer pressure or guilt.
What about my kids?
Journey Church is a family-friendly place! We love and value our kids and believe it's important for them to have a fun environment where they can learn to know God and love God.
What are the messages like?

What is the music like?
Our music incorporates both modern and traditional gospel music. We are a diverse group of people from many generations and cultures, and we want everyone to have opportunity to connect to the worship experience. We are intentional about remaining balanced in our approach.
Every weekend we have a time of authentic worship designed to prepare our hearts and minds to receive a message from God. We believe you will leave having experienced something special.
